Podiatry treatment is offered subject to the following:
1.Treatment fees are payable for all treatment/work given or received. This includes if only advise or referral is given at time of appointment.
2.No credit will be given – fees are due at the time treatment is given or received less the deposit that is paid at time of booking.
3.Fees will vary according to the treatment given or received. Normally a fee is due for the type of treatment given or received in addition to the time the treatment takes, therefore, for example if you are given ultrasound at your treatment or have a nail reconstruction the fee due will be higher. This list is not exhaustive. These costs will be advised before commencement of additional treatments.
4.Additional fees will be charged for extra services and items/products used during your treatment, this may include dressings, bandages, insoles/orthoses, medicaments, foot-care products, scans, further assessments and advice, etc. – this list should not be exhaustive.
5.I reserve the right to treat you or not treat you, and to withdraw treatment at any time, without notice, in accordance with the rules and codes of conduct of the Institute of Chiropodists & Podiatrists and the Health and Care Professions Council.
Physical and verbal abuse will not be tolerated towards any member of staff and treatment will cease immediately and you will be asked to leave the practice.
6.You will find the surgery opening hours on the website however these may be altered if necessary. Emergency care can be offered out of normal hours but will incur an emergency “clinic opening” fee and an increased treatment fee.
Booking an Appointment
You may book an appointment by visiting or telephoning the clinic or using our on-line booking system. We can be contacted via email but you will be called, text, or referred to the online booking system. Do not cancel appointments via the clinic email address.
We do not provide home visits.
1.When you book your appointment either face to face, over the phone, via text or on-line you are required to pay a deposit at the time of booking whether you are a new or existing patient.
2. You may reschedule your appointment, without penalty*, up to 24 hours before your appointment except when your appointment is on a Monday, in which case you must notify us by 5pm on the Saturday before the appointment, telephoning or texting the surgery or using the on-line booking system
3. We do not accept notification of rescheduling by email under any circumstances. Failure to notify us by telephone, text or using the on-line booking system, within these limits, will result in you being charged the full appointment fee. The surgery is equipped with a telephone answering machines and/or BTt call minder and record the day, date and time of messages. My mobile phone is also available. The on-line booking system (We use Goldie) is always available.
4.*If you book online and appointment and cancel your appointment you will forfeit the deposit however if you use the link sent when making the appointment the fee will be carried over to your rescheduled appointment (subject to you providing the 24 hours’ notice. If you book by phone or text and give the required 24 hours’ notice I will carry the deposit over to your rescheduled appointment.
5. You will be expected to pay for all postponed, cancelled and/or missed appointments within 7 calendar days of the date of the failed, cancelled and/or missed. If I do not hear from you, you will be sent a reminder letter about your outstanding balance. This will incur a fee of £6 to cover administration and postage.
6.You may not use our services again until any outstanding fees have been paid and no booking will be accepted until your account has been cleared.
7. If fees remain unpaid for more than 21 days, I reserve the right to refer your outstanding debts to a debt collection agency/recovery service or to the Magistrates (small claims) Court for payment collection.
8. I reserve the right to postpone, cancel or rearrange your appointment without notice. Please note: I will only do this in exceptional circumstances which may include sickness, accident, poor weather, any other incident which affects the ability for me to attend your appointment or where premises become unavailable due to circumstances beyond my control. I will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible if I need to do this giving you as much notice as possible.
9. If you have a history of poor attendance, I reserve the right to ask you to prepay for your appointments, and reserve the right to refuse treatment if you refuse to do so.
Methods of payment
1. All patients are required to pay a £10 deposit for their appointment at the time of booking, no matter how they book an appointment. I reserve the right to alter the deposit amount at any time without notice.
2.You may pay your bill with either cash (in sterling), or credit/debit card when you book off-line (in surgery or over the telephone). When booking on-line you will be required to pay at the time of booking using your debit card/credit card
3.These terms and conditions apply to services provided by Gillian Webster (Podiatrist) The Woodlands Clinic, Clevedon (different terms and conditions may apply to third party services offered within our surgery e.g., Massage/Reflexology etc.)
Customer Returns/Refund Policy
Defective Products
Products should be checked upon purchase by you, the customer. If it appears that the products, at the time of purchase are damaged or otherwise show material or manufacturing defects, return the products to us. We will offer to replace the items for a new one. We will not offer a refund or credit note.
Non-Defective Products
If you are not happy with what you have purchased for any reason other than a defect under our warranty terms and wish to return the products, you may do so within 14 calendar days after purchase, as long as:
1.the products are unwashed and not used in any way;
2.the products are in their original undamaged packaging (a carefully opened package will not be considered damaged);
3. the product is complete: e.g. both items of a pair must be returned;
You may not return:
1.products that are tampered with;
2. products which are custom made for you i.e orthotics
3.non-returnable items such as gels, medicines, creams, etc. As legally we are not allowed to resell these items due to hygiene laws.
4.Items that have been worn, for example orthoses, socks, paddings, supports or footwear (this list is not exhaustive)
Customers returning non defective products with only receive a credit note. Refunds will not be available.
